Week 15 Announcements
- If you are interested in being an Academic Intern for CS10 next semester, stay tuned for details!
- You can earn up to 1pt of extra credit for completing course evaluations for CS10. Details are at Post 781 on Ed.
- Our final review session will take place early RRR week, details to come once we’ve been assigned a room.
- The final exam will take place in a 8am PT-11:59pm PT window on Monday 12/13, similar to the midterm. There will be no alternate exam date. Proctoring will be required as usual, and there will be a demo on PL. More details will go out in an Ed blast later this week.

Week 10 Announcements

- If you have not submitted your midterm fractal to Gradescope, you can turn it in by 11:59pm on Monday 10/25 for a small grade penalty. Many students were not able to find the instructions, and we want to give a chance for your work to be evaluated.
- If you did not turn in a recording for either part of your midterm, you can turn them in using this same form (link on Ed) by 11:59pm on Monday 10/25 for a small grade penalty.
- We’ll be sending out a post-midterm grade report later this week, which will include your midterm grades.
- Project 5 is released Monday 10/25 evening and due 11/05
- Final Project Proposal spec is released on 10/27 (proposal due Thu 11/04)
- Final Project Technical spec released Friday 10/29
- Friday 10/29 is the deadline to change your grading from letter grade to P/NP and vice versa.
- Week 10 Reading Quiz due Friday by 11:59pm
Week 9 Announcements

- The midterm will take place on Monday, October 18th. You will have a 16-hour period from 8am (Pacific Time) to 11:59pm (Pacific Time) to start the exam that day. Once you have started the exam, you will have a total of 2.5 hours to complete it (this may vary for students with DSP accommodations). See the logistics post linked above for details.
- There will be no labs, office hours, or lectures on Monday or Tuesday this week. Class will resume as usual on Wednesday.
- Project 4 essay due on Thursday, October 21st
- Project 4 comments due on Saturday, October 23rd
- Mid-Semester Survey, linked above, (which counts for this week's survey) due 11:59pm on Fri 10/22.
- Week 9 Reading Quiz due Friday by 11:59pm
Week 8 Announcements

- Lecture this week will be virtual and asynchronous
- The midterm will take place on Monday, October 18th. (more details on exam and demo assignment to come in an Ed post later in the week)
- We will be hosting a midterm review session on Monday, October 11th 6-8pm. Be sure to sign up on the wejoinin linked on the Weekly Blast Ed post.
- Late adds, you can get labs checked off in any lab or OH. If you’re not a late add, please do your best to get check offs done in labs from now on.
- Lab 11 due Wed 10/13 or Thu 10/14

Week 7 Announcement

- If you’re running into bugs in “update display” or “ new board of size __” in Project 3, please redownload the spec and import your blocks. If you’re not sure how to do this, ask in lab or OH!
- If you’ve been having Discord issues in remote lab or OH, please uninstall and re-install the app to try and fix any audio errors!
- Please continue to post on Ed with any content or logistical questions — these should not go to the CS10 email because they’re likely to apply to many students
- Late adds, you can get labs checked off in any lab or OH.
- The power testing on campus on Monday will not affect any labs, as it is occurring a 11pm.

Week 4 Announcement

- Make sure you have read the Week 4 Overview Ed post.
- Our first exam, the Quest will be taking place on Tuesday, 9/14. Please read over the Quest Logistics post and complete the accompanying practice workflow for extra credit!
- We’ll be dropping your four lowest 4 weekly surveys and reading quizzes at the end of the semester, so don’t worry if you missed those in previous weeks!
- If you are enrolled in a Tues/Thurs lab, we will NOT hold lab on Tuesday.
- The Wed/Thu labs this week are work sessions — feel free to come by to work on the project, catch up on labs, or start lab 6 early!
Week 3 Announcement

- We will be holding in-person lecture this Wednesday in our new lecture hall, Dwinelle 155. You can sign up to attend here: https://www.wejoinin.com/sheets/kdrgv
- Lab section capacities have been expanded for some sections which were fully enrolled on the WeJoinIn, but still had space for a few more students. Change your section here.
- If you don’t think you’ll finish Project 1 by Wednesday, you can use up to 2 slip days to finish with no late penalty. These will be automatically calculated based on your submission date.
- Prof. Hug has recorded the lecture for Wednesday already, it’s linked below if you want to take a look before lab.
Week 2 Announcement

- Live lecture is remote through 9/8 (see Ed for details)
- Reading quizzes start this week. They are now asynchronous and non-proctored. The link to the first reading can be found below. The quiz is due by midnight this Friday 9/3.
- Make sure to fill out the Week 2 survey, which can be found on Ed.
- If you’re unsatisfied with the section you’re currently enrolled in, you can still switch using the lab and discussion sheets! If all the sections you want to attend are full, email cs10@berkeley.edu with the subject “[CS10] Lab Enrollment Issue” or “[CS10] Discussion Enrollment Issue”!
- If you have switched sections, or do not plan to keep attending synchronous lab or discussion, please un-enroll yourself on the wejoinins so other students can enroll.
Week 1 Announcement

- Welcome to CS10! The first lecture will be held 10-11am entirely remote at the usual lecture link (see above link).
- Some TAs will be holding general office hours on the glade (Look out for the Squirtle sign!) 10am-12pm and 1-4pm on Wednesday, and 3-5pm on Thursday. This is a great way to meet some staff, ask any questions and voice any concerns you may have about the class and/or Cal in general.
