WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? WHAT WAS YOUR PATH TO CAL?

I grew up in Rosemead, California, where I goofed around pretty much until the end of high school. I knew I wanted to do something related to A.I., which leads to my wanting to go into Computer Science, which leads to me coming to Cal, which leads to me writing this! Amazing.

HOW MUCH PROGRAMMING HAVE YOU DONE (& WHAT LANGUAGES)?

Before CS10, I didn’t know how to program at all—I was a little scared of it really—but luckily all of that was gone after I found out how fun it can be! Snap! was the first language I learned, but fast forwarding to now, I’ve coded in Python, Java, Scheme, C, and SQL.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

I love watching movies, hanging out with friends, playing basketball and sneaking into places. I can’t remember anything else.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR TALENTS & SKILLS?

I can stay awake against my will even though I really want to sleep.

HAVE YOU DONE ANYTHING REMARKABLE? HAS ANYTHING MEMORABLE HAPPENED TO YOU?

One time I jammed my middle finger so bad it needed surgery. It was on my dominant hand so I learned how to write with my offhand over the course of a couple months. That was a long time ago; I seem to have unlearned it.

WHAT COMMITMENTS WILL BE CONSUMING YOUR CYCLES THIS SEMESTER?

I’m taking Math 53 and Math 110 this summer, but CS10 is the priority of course.
