WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? WHAT WAS YOUR PATH TO CAL?
I grew up in Lodi, California. I had some fantastic teachers in high school that happened to be Cal grads, which but Berkeley on my radar.
HOW MUCH PROGRAMMING HAVE YOU DONE (& WHAT LANGUAGES)?
I had no idea how computers work before coming to Cal. I took CS10, CS61a, CS61b, and CS170. I’ve learned Snap!, Python, Java, and Matlab.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
I enjoy reading, cooking, playing the piano, and practicing judo.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR TALENTS & SKILLS?
I have played the piano for 16 years or so, although not as much recently.
HAVE YOU DONE ANYTHING REMARKABLE? HAS ANYTHING MEMORABLE HAPPENED TO YOU?
I spent a few weeks in the UK this past Summer, which was a lot of fun.
WHAT COMMITMENTS WILL BE CONSUMING YOUR CYCLES THIS SEMESTER?
This semester I’m taking Numerical Analysis, Combinatorics, and an education course. I’ll be teaching CS10, as well as an SLC study group for Math 55. Outside of that, I spend quite a few hours every week on the mat practicing judo.
